Project for the Swedish Football Association

A Greener Game

On January 9, 2020, Sweden's first robot for maintenance of artificial turf was launched at Skytteholm's Sports Stadium.
I was tasked to package the concept of testing new techniques, name it, visualize it and produce marketing materials aimed at different stakeholders for funding.

In Practice

  • The challenge was to introduce new technology through a credible test environment where municipalities, facility owners, and other decision-makers could evaluate new methods, understand their value, and build trust in their application.

  • I translated the technical and operational ambition of the project into a clearer concept platform, giving the initiative a name, visual direction, and communication structure. The objective was to make innovation tangible and accessible, helping stakeholders understand both the long-term value of the project and its relevance for future investments in turf maintenance.

  • The work included concept development, naming, graphic design, and presentation material tailored for stakeholder communication and funding dialogue. I created the visual framework used to present the initiative and developed marketing assets that positioned the project as both innovative and practical within a public-sector and sports infrastructure context.

Impact

Alongside the concept presentation, I developed logos and graphic design elements that gave the initiative a recognisable identity. This helped move the project from technical pilot to branded proposition, making it easier to communicate consistently across materials and audiences.

The result was a clearer way of presenting the initiative to stakeholders involved in evaluation, funding, and future implementation. By translating a technical test environment into a stronger concept and communication platform, the project gained a more credible and engaging public-facing identity.
